For a 1996 Cobra,
(1) does the EEC-Tuner or the TwEECer allow you to set the amount of spark-advance timing? In other words, can it be used as a substitute for a Timing Adjuster?

(2) does the EEC-Tuner or the TwEECer allow you to set the temperature values that the cooling fan turns on and off?

Thanks for the info.

TwEECer & EECTuner

Hey Guys,

The TwEECer does NOT officially support the EEC-V yet. Currently we have a 96 GT with a 96 Cobra engine, running one of our EECV beta boards. Also a 97 GT Conv AODE with an STrim is running one of the beta boards. We should have some testing done on 99 and up GT's & Cobras in the next week and most likely some testing will be done on 00' and 01' Lightnings.

Both the TwEECer and EECTuner allow you to adjust the fan temp controls and spark advance rate vs ECT, ACT and others.

The EECTuner is available NOW and I believe works well with the 96-98 EECV's but has some problems with 99+, but check out the tuner yahoo group for more details on that.

hope this helps.

that is accurate on the EEC tuner. it DOES allow you to change tyhese values as well as maf transfer function, a/f rati etc.

it works with eec 5 but NOT 99+. the issue is that the older eec's have a slower clock speed. the people who get the eec tuner boards rarly get any of the faster clock speeds and shtus it does not work with the 99+
