Looking to buy an engine, trans, computer, wiring, and fuel tank out of an f150 to swap into my 1986 f150. Had a 351W in their and it just threw a rod the other day. Would prefer a low mileage engine, and must be in good mechanical/ working condition.
Yes the f150 coyote is cheaper, but watch what yr you get. Do your research on everything you are asking for. I have engine harness for a 2016 f150 coyote that I will sell, but again do your research first.
Do the research on the stock eec/ I had the setup out of a f150 without the body eec. I had the motor eec. Unless HPtuners has a pats delete for the coyote you will need the FMS computer. If you get the body eec your fine and is the only way of controlling the 6r80 tran with a stock eec. Make sure to get the steering wheel with the key and all the wiring to and from.
