you need more gear

Get the trap rpm just over peak power 2-300 and the slipage will go way down

The converter is not going to lock up with that highway gear and low rpm

Use a calculator to determine the trap Mph RPM conv slip of 12% and this will tell you what gear. If you turn it another 1500 rpm the MPH will gain big time.

Coverter slipage needs to be measured at peak rpm and MPH

Run it to 6500 in high gear and see what kind of mph you get. The converter in my car never gets below 5700 after launch. I turn it 6500 slips 12-13%.

exactly, you never said what the converter stall is. If I did your test in mine it would have terrible slip % since its about 6400 pull back on a shift.

So pretty much need to change gears or have the converter tightened up. the car runs 7.01- 7.05 in the 1/8mile shifting at 4700-5000rpms in high gear. What gear should i go with? weight is 3304 and the 3.31 gear with a 28inch tire

Don't do anything if you plan on going 1/4.

What kind of mph in the 1/8. Where do you shift into 3rd.

With what you have ran the car will go 125-126 in the 1/4.
