I am looking at upgrading my suspension this winter. I have team z double adjustable upper lowers along with strange 10 ways for the back.

For the front I am looking at going with tubular control arms and strange coil overs with strange 10 ways.

My question is what weight spring is best to go with? This will be for a street strip build

I have Strange adj front struts, coil overs with UHT Hyperco springs. 150 lb/in. The car weighs 3150 with me in it. 53% weight on the front. So just under 1,700 lbs on the front end. You can hardly get the front end to bounce with this set up. You have to remember, a coil over set up carries the weight differently than the spring on the lower control arm. So a much lighter spring can be used than what you would expect. Also a lot of it has to do with how long the spring is, and how much you have it compressed to get your desired ride height.

Drag only car. 99 chassis, 03 Mach 1 4V, so alum block and heads. AJE k and arms. Use a 14” 130lb. Spring on AJE coilovers with Strange single 10 ways. 2940 race weight car is 2725. Lower next season with manual steering and brakes. Hydraboost and PS pump alone were 20lbs. Figure another 5 for all the hydro lines and a 10 lb diff in power rack over 12 lb flaming river, so andother 15. Hope to get the car down to 2675 and race weight down to 2875. So I’m on the hook to drop 15.:grin2:
