I know this should probably be in the suspension section but since this is a drag related question I figured I'd put it here. I'm going with a tubular front end set up real soon and am to the point where I need to order the coil over / spring kit. I scaled the car last weekend and came up with the following. 1610lb front weight, 1130lb rear weight and 2740lb total car weight without driver. I've been looking at a 14" 130lb spring but am worried that it might be a bit stiff for the weight of the car. What do you guys think, would a 14" 110lb spring be a better starting point for this car? The car is a 90% track car but does see the ocasional weekend parade/cruise.

Yes, I think the 110's would be a better starting point and you may be able to go lighter yet given the weight of the car.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll probably start with the 110's and go from there. Next questioin. I really like the looks of the upr kit (just coil overs) but they do not sell a spring lighter than a 130. Which kit do you guys like?

I bet you could sell the 130's then get some 110's pretty easy..

Yeah those 130s would go like hotcakes for about $45. I paid $30 for my 130's and $40 for my 110's, there are usually a set or two on eBay

just like everyone else said, you should be able to sell the 130# springs very easy. ebay has 110# springs on there right now.
