So I see where people run tubing from the front of the car to the rear to a ice box to cool the IATs. I'm pretty sure this adds 70 to 100 pounds to the car. Then the passenger has to deal with the tubing. I know mostly racers use this, but some run drag week with this setup.

I run meth injection and have pondered the idea of chilling the meth. has anyone done this? I thought I would run a test using a spray gun and meth. One chilled and one not. I will use a fluke 87 along with a thermocouple. Pretty sure what the results will be. But I will test this first and then in the car where I can log IATs and tune around the change.

I've never see this employed, and doubt there would be much difference as the meth evaporates. To know for sure, I'd suggest contacting Snow Performance or hitting up Michael Plummer here .

latent heat of vapor for methonal is about 473btu/lb
specific heat is probably less than 1

water latent is over twice that of methanol

chilling the methanol will have negligible increase in capacity
