AJE or PA racing tubular k member, dynatech or kooks swap headers and you get to pick what tranny to use...

I made my own adapter plates. I got a couple pieces of 6 inch x 1/4 inch plates approx 5-6 inches long. Mounted a set of Chevy truck lower motor mounts on them. Then lowered it onto the k member and set it in approx location marked the hole for the k member onto the plate and done.

I used the 700 r4 tranny fit okay and the tranny crossmember did not need much work.(Drilled a new hole)

It was not to bad to do. If you are going to do it though do the LS motor instead. The bottom end is far superior to anything Chevy has done in the past. Or just do like I did and spend the money and keep the 5.0 in there and buy a turbo for it.
