Honestly, the best thing is to ensure proper routing so that the intake tube is far away from heat. If you wrap it with anything, you can actually hurt your IAT because the piping would not be able to cool itself with the incomming air. If it is wrapped with reflective tape, the tape will not conduct the cooling effect of wind effectively onto the pipe to help cool the air.
The best info i have seen so far is here, about all this stuff. Depending on the heat wrap, it can actually heat up your intake more so if it is black exhaust wrap i would assume. a heat shield tape would work great, or this heat shield sleeve or this velcro heat shield sleeve. if i ever get around to a turbo set up on my 66, i plan on insulating the intake tubes.
