My Vortech is going in this weekend. :joy:

For now, I'm going with the fuel system provided with the Vortech kit. The car is my daily driver and I don't want to push the envelope too hard. For my own sanity, I'm going to have a custom tune after the install. I'm looking for rwhp in the 390-400 range (along with a nice rich a/f curve). I've got the money for a rebuild, I just don't want to have to face that situation right now.

My concern is that the car will run too lean with the C&L. I'm leaning toward scrapping the C&L and putting the stock meter back in. Any opinions?

Thanks in advance.

From what I have been told, most s/c companies like Vortech and Kenne Bell use chips that always run to the rich side to prevent the dreaded lean-out you are speaking of.
IMHO you will probably be pushing the stock 24lb injectors to the limit though.

Ditch the superchip chip it comes with as soon as you can and get a custom chip. I have a whole new car since I did that.

BTW, my C&L/vortech/30lb combo seems to be working just fine.
