Hey guys so I have a 302 with forged internals. Tw heads, f cam, typhoon intake. On3 setup 70mm .69ex.

Built aod 3000 stall, no brake

I can't seem to build much more then 3 psi on the line.

I installed a MSD 6al-2 with the built in 2 step. I can only still build 3 pounds.

Question: what do I need to do to build more boost? More timing? More fuel?

Do I also need a timing retard?

Also should I be able to build boost in neutral on the 2 step or only when the engine has a load?

Thanks guys.

Mine does the same thing, the answers I got were that the tuner has to program something into the tune to make it build boost or that you have to try raising the rpm more on the 2 step.

So what about dumping fuel and cutting timing?

Trans Brake is what you need. It will fix all your problems with building boost lol. It takes load to build boost and if you can only foot brake to 3k its prob just not enough to make more then the 3lbs your seeing. My setup i wasnt able to make boost on the foot brake at all but on trans brake i made 15lbs. Its hard to make boost on foot brake unless your converter is nice and lose.

You can dump fuel and pull timing, but mostly pull timing. You'll build a couple more pounds.
