I'm having a problem with my 2000 GT with Cobra brakes. On a road trip this weekend, the passenger front brake starting making a loud rattling noise after the brakes were released, which continued on for a minutes or two. Depressing the brake pedal eliminated the noise/vibration as did driving through it. It was also leaking fluid, but I think this is just because the hose backed off the caliper. I checked all the bolts that I could, but everything seemed fine. The wheels seem to turn fine and have little play, so I'm guessing the bearing are in ok shape as is. I ended up nursing the car home .
The reason I'm posting this question here is because I just took my car to Road America, during which time I went through a set of Carbotech Bobcat pads (cremated in 20 minutes of track time) and 1/2 a set of Carbotech Panter Plus pads. There was also enough heat to turn my calipers from red (the Ford Bullitt Edition of the Cobra calipers) to black. Currently, the pads on there now are the stock PBR pads 1/2 worn.
What do you guys think? I have limited work space/time, so I'm better off knowing what I need to fix before taking apart the car.

Check the pin that holds the caliper into the caliper bracket. I have seen those pins get worn and the caliper hike up past the pin upon braking and rub the wheel. Not good. Napa has replacement pins. Next year I am going to keep extra pins with me at events.

The pins look fine. I checked both of them. Also there were no rub marks anywhere. I think the caliper is sticking open/closed.
