My buddy has the opportunity to buy a fresh 306 with Edelbrock Jr heads with 10.1 compression. Is that compression to high to add his v2 s-trim to safely on 93 octane pump gas?

From what I understand more compression equals running less boost and less timing. Doesn't sound ideal to me but I seen others do it cautiously.

If the S-Trim is non-intercooled, you're going to have to run very little boost. My 10.2:1 306 on 93 was definitely not happy on 7-8lbs intercooled without significant timing reduction. This made my e85 decision a lot easier.

I have a 9.2:1 compression 358cid SBF with 20 psi boost on E-85. My next mod will be to go to 363 cid (.030 larger bore) and up the compression to 11.0:1 to make some real power. Because 1,200 HP is not enough Lol.
