I just got in some mickey thompson slicks #3054. that I am planning on getting mounted for this weekend. What is the best way of breaking them in and a starting air pressure. In the old slicks goodyears that was 28 tall with tubes I ran really good with 12pnds. Will the Mickey want the same or less tire pressure in them?

Thanks

Your going to have to play with tire pressure and see what works best for you. I see a lot of guys at the track with new slicks. They never seem to break them in, the just do the first burnout with the sticker still on the tire.

There are opinions on how to brake in a set of new slicks . What seems to work best for me is a real hard long burn out for the first one . The M/T slicks I had didn't like low pressure like a good year does . My slicks liked 15 pounds lower never helped the traction at all.
