I hear 3.73's are very good. They are good all around. I did my research and bought 3.73's for my 98 GT 5 speed. To tell what gear ratio you have, count how many exact rotations your rear tires make for 1 revolution of your driveshaft. Maybe the next time you get your car hoisted, get the mechanics to do this for you if you don't want to do it yourself. Don't forget to get the speedo correction gear, or better yet a speed cal unit from Dallas mustang or Brothers Performance. I heard that the correction gear gets shredded so you might be better off with the speed cal.

Do a search on gears, 4.10, or 3.73 and you will find a ton of info.

Good luck!
