Went 12.95 @ 106 tonight, not too horrible for these shotty 3.73s in the car. Trapped a best of 106.7 and had a best 60' of 1.82, with a 1.86 on the 12.95 run.

I guess now I have no reason to procrasinate with installing these 4.56s. :p

Mike, glad to hear that the solid axle is working out for you. I finialy got my car back on the road a couple of weeks ago and am really enjoying the IRS. I have been to a couple of auto-xs and have had FTD.

I finially made it to the track and ran some low 13s @ 104. I think the stock cat-back is really killing me with the longtubes. I did pull a couple of 1.84 60' on street tires though. :D

Cobra99--Told ya! That's good. Now put the 4.56s in and get some ET Drags and launch it off the limiter. Just like me tonight.

PS Not all Southern tracks bite, LOL.

Thanks a lot guys...

Ben - I'd like to be able to say yes, but I start a job June 3rd, and I don't know if I'll be able to take a day or two off so early, but I'll see what I can do.

Brandon - Live axle, 3.73s, MAC H-pipe, Borla catback, Densecharger MAF to filter kit, Tokico shocks/struts

James - That's damn impressive, best I ever cut on a street tire was a 1.95, and that was with 4.30s. I'm glad you're enjoying it, because I love this live axle. :D

Joe - I appreciate the support...don't know how soon I can get the 4.56s in, might not be for another month or so, but it'd be nice to do it sooner. We'll see.

Bob - I was on a friend's 275/50/15 BFG DRs, on some random 15 x 7 rim. I don't know if it was just the track, or maybe the gears, or maybe the tires (they're pretty old), but I just couldn't get any sub 1.8x times all night. On my first couple launches, I bogged at a 4500 launch and a 5000 launch (that was the 1.82), but the track got worse as the night went on and I was mostly in the low-mid 1.9s.

Thanks again for all the kind words guys, I can't wait to drop a few more tenths off in the near future. :D

I am looking for a 99/01 Cobra and stories like this make me even more impatient. Is that the only mod you have, the one in your sig, if not please share.

Old isn't bad....so long as they aren't rotten. I always by used DR's for the track...the balder the better. :) If you try em again, suggest starting at about 13 psi and see what happens.

Then again, with 3.73 gears, who knows what will happen. LOL.

Digital-R, I listed the mods in my previous reply, probably right at the same time you were posting.

Bob, I think the lowest I went with them was 17-18 psi....the 15x7 wheels make me a little nervous of going lower, but I think it'll be ok. You're right about the 3.73s though, I really don't know what to expect.

You know, I had a nice (relatively speaking) 1.82 launch, but the damn computer pulled out timing on the 1-2 shift and went 13.09....gotta get a chip burned this summer.

Fourcam281--I didn't think I would either. Result--I got a 1.62 60' last weekend. In a 'vert at 3000 foot altitude on a warm night.

Nice work Mike. LOL, I didnt' think you'd ever give up on your IRS.
Heh, it's not that I didn't want to give up on it, I was just too lazy to go ahead and do the swap. :)
