what a weekend! after battle'ing through my C4 woes, I still made it down to PINKS ALL OUT @ MIR. got their wed around 10am and was car #27. over 400 cars were at the event and it was a blast! Jason (TRBO VNM) chilled w/ us both days (thanks again man!) through the sun and rain. Friday was a "test and tune" but were still called up by class. only got to make 2 runs from 9am till we left around 8pm. first one was at 230pm and according to DragTimes.com, temp was 82.4, humidity was 58% and the DA was 2000ft!!

IC water temp was 100 when I started my burnout, engine was about 160.

no ice, anti roll bar just set to zero preload, front AND rear shocks full loose w/ 12.25psi in the tires

got to make my second pass at 630pm. all I did was add some ice at the trailer (which was gone in 2 minutes) and dropped the tires to 12psi. the temp was still 82.4 but the humidity was up to 62% which made the DA 2031ft.

IC water temp was 90 when I started my burnout and again engine was about 160.

matched my best on a cool night at home in the heat at MIR! was very happy to say the least.

got to the track saturday around 9am only to have rian delays till about 2pm. finally the sun came out and we got to business.

I didnt even TOUCH my car. put the tires at 11.75 and added alot of ice. even added more in the lanes this time. was much warmer out. temp was 87.8 and humidity was 52% making the DA 2649ft!!!!

holy crap right???!?! not sure whats going on on the back half. Im thinking the converter is too loose. might go back to my local track one more time to try a few things. but Im deff getting somewhere in 85+ degree temps I think and no suspension setup.

Sounds like it was a good weekend, minus the rain delays. Nice pictures with Rich arm-dropping with the packed stands in the background! I indirectly know the guy, Justin Abbott that won the whole show. I was told the last pass took place around 2:30 AM. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend. Sounds like it was a good one. Congrats on the passes. Big numbers out of the car in the heat, for sure.

What ET range did they choose this time?
The one at Ennis this year pissed off a bunch of people. He openly announced that he had 3 fields of 32 cars each to choose from, a 9 second field and two 10 second fields. Then they went and chose an 11.05-11.20 field!!!
One of my buddies that came with us from houston made the field, but we brought 9 cars from houston in a group and 5 of them were 10.30-10.50 cars.

Wow I hope things go a little quicker than that when I go to the one at Pacific Raceways in August.

Yeah it was a cool event. I just wish I could have made a full pass, I'm still having electrical issues.

yea it was a blast! we left around 10pm. i cant believe they went that late.

I dont care about not getting picked but i think they announced it too soon...like it was planned. they announced the low 9 sec class within minutes of the last cars running. it will be interesting to watch the show in 6 months and see how it all goes down.

Im extremely happy w/ the car. I was in a class w/ mini tubbed cars and all out race cars with 14" tires in my street car.

Mi event is in 3 weeks.
I can't wait
I was talking with a friend that was at MIR with the green 4 door torino. He said he had a blast.

Any truth to the rumor that the Pritchard bros. and the Wolly Mammoth guy are gone?I heard there was some shakeups but :confused:
thats true...the bro's were not there and they were saying how its the "new crew" for season 3.
