I think I might put in a 351 with a stock bottom end and World steel heads on it in my street driven 83. Anyone running a near stock 351 and what times could I expect? It will be a carbed motor. My 302 with the same heads ran [email protected] with 2.2 60 ft. time.should i just fix the 302 [new crank]or get the 351?

I just finshed a few weeks ago getting my 84 up and running. It is a notch back with a 351 windsor. The short block is stock crank and rods with some cheap($15 a piece) flat top pistons. I have windsor sr heads and about a .540 hydraulic cam in it with performer rpm intake and 650 carb. C4 trans with 2800 stall and 8.8 with 4.10 gears. I took it to the track for the first time and it ran 12.37's at 107 with 1.66 60 foot times. There might be a little bit left in it but Im not pushing it to far. Shift at 5700,5700, and go through at 5800.

Also running on 26x10.5x15 ET Streets.

I make 420rwhp na and spray it anywhere from 75hp to 325hp.Ihave hurt a couple of pistons but never the crank rods or block.I have 600+ passes on the motor and 15-17k worth of street driving. It is a 69' shortblock. My buddy has been 9.30's with his f4 block, stock crank and cheap eagle rods.He made 700 at the tire. The eagle rods started breaking as soon as he turned up the boost a little more.
