WHat do you guys have your prop valves set to? How many turns in from full out??

I just swapped to Cobra disk brakes all around, set it initially to 4 turns in and have put about 25 miles on the combo.

Initial impression is the rears aren't doing enough work. The fronts and nice and bedded and the rear rotors, while getting hot, don't look like the pad (stock Ford Cobra) is biting into the rotor giving it that clean silver look you'd expect.

Unfortunately i had to chase down some other gremlins with the car, but now my goal is to adjust the rear brakes properly. I'm sure they are well bled. I did them off the car with a block of wood and rubber mallet to tap with.

Just wondering if anyone knew offhand their settings? I know each car will be different depending on weight, tires, etc, but just trying ballpark it for my initial experimenting

Your 4 turns in is obviously the recommended jump off point from the instructions with the kit. I believe mine is now adjusted for a bit more pressure in the rear but I'm not 100% sure where it is on a turn in, turn out scale right now. I've made adjustments several times at the track based on how the car felt.

Your best bet is to go out in the rain or in some gravel and see what the lockup points are for the front vs rear, that's a good point to start at until you get a feel for how the car reacts under heavy braking.

Pad wear is a good indicator too, at one point I had the rears on so heavy they wore out almost as fast as the fronts which isn't right, I dialed them towards the front a bit and they feel better and pad wear is about 2:1 front to rear, about where it should be IMO.
