I know this question has been asked 100+ times but What is the most common size tire to run on the back of a fox gt? I'm not sure if a 27 will clear the ground effects, so i'm looking at 26's I'm currently running a G60-15 racemaster on draglites that are shot and need new tires by this friday if i wanna run this year. Kinda hard to decipher the letter code on the M&H's. The only reason i ask is i think my wheel offset is too shallow, aka the tires stick out a little bit, but i have adjustable lowers so i can raise the ride height to clear if i need to. Looking at QT pro's and MT ET streets as the local cops are kinda jerks about full slicks. Thanks

Depending on how fast your car is and what you want, i would run either a 26x10.5 ET street or a 26x11.5 et street.

The 10.5 et street is sized close to a 26x8.5 et drag and the 11.5 et street is sized close to a 26x10.5 et drag

Mickey Thompson does not offer a 26 X 10.5 ET Drag. They offer 26 X 8.5 and 26 X 10's

The 26 X 10 ET Drag(Stiff sidewall) has a 9.8" tread width.
The 26 X 11.5 ET Street has a tread width of the same 9.8"

The 26 X 10 ET Drag is much softer and will hook much harder.

I went from 1.60 best short time on 10.5 ET Streets, to a 1.47 on 26 X 10 ET Drags. No other changes.

what size rim is it? what backspacing is the rim? if its a 15 x 8 then go with a 26 x 10.5 et street if its a 15 x 10 with 6.5 bs then use a 26 x 10.5 or 27 x 10.5 et street. If you dont mind rolling the fenders and beating the holy crap out of your inner fender you can slide a 26 x 11.5 et street in there with a 6.5" bs rim.

It really depends on how you've geared the car and how good your suspension is. A 26x8.5 ET Drag, or 26x10.5 ET Street on a 15x8 wheel will be plenty of tire if the car is geared a little lower.

I beat the hell out of my car and did some quarter panel lip cutting to make my 28s fit.

With my old buzzard motor I did 1.58 sixtys with 26 x 10 MT Et drags.

How fast you wanna go?

Look at what the NMRA P/S cars do with 26 inch tall tires.
