I was originally going to do a 5.3 turbo swap into my 87 foxbody. But now I came across and actually bought a coyote out of a wrecked car. Got it with wiring harness and ecu. Now Im stuck between which one to put it.

Parts I have.
-Coyote
*Complete long block w/acc.
*OEM wiring harness w/ ECU

Chevy 5.3
*Long block w/ ls6 cam/manifold
*Standalone plug-n-play wiring harness

Still need k-member for whatever motor goes in.

As for turbo stuff ,I have a Turbonetics 76mm, and 40mm racegate, 80lb injectors, -8an fuel lines from tank to front with twin 255 pumps, intercooler and all the piping. Ill just need to fab up hot parts for whatever motor goes in.

What would you guys do? Car will be tuned on e85.

Both are good options. What's the cars purpose?

A few pro's for each off the top of my head.

5.3 has good power out of the box(especially with your current set up) and will be much cheaper to modify when it comes to upgrades in cams ect. The 5.3 will leave you with much more room to work with for the turbo set up than the Coyote. You could probably sell the coyote and cover most of the cost to do the entire build on the 5.3l. I would think the 5.3 is alot lighter than the coyote.

You won't get sh*t from anyone for a coyote swap. Good power out of the box, but expensive to upgrade. Coyote swap edges out the 5.3l in the "wow" factor, but both are becoming more and more common.

If I was building a race car, I'd probabaly go with the 5.3($ reasons). If I was building a show car I would go with the coyote(wow). Thats just me, everyone has thier own ideas and likings.
