There are a lot of variables involved but higher compression will make signficantly more power if set up properly.

Are you a pump gas guy or are you ok running good fuel?

My car made a lot more power withe the compression a bit higher but I am ok with running race gas.

With a 408 your goals of 650hp are underestimated. With a properly tuned setup you'll be looking at much more than that. I'd go big on the fuel

With 8.8 psi on a 347 I made 650 rwhp (on wastegates) and went 9.52. With 10 psi on a 408 if it is setup right you will be considerably over where I was.

well i understand about the injectors and fuel system, i was gonna order the back half kit from aeromotive. Not sure on what it is making now, havn't had it dyno'd or at the track yet. Still stock rear end, so im playing it safe, just wating for my gear to come in then it will all be set up.

Race gas doesn't bother me b/c only time i wuld run it is when im racing, other wise the car wuld sit in the garage, lets face it its not going to be a daily driven car, just back and forth to the track 20 miles away and a little playing in the streets for running 110 doesn't bother me.

i mean its only 6.50 a gal here.

Just tring to see if anyone has done it and how it held up, im looking for this to be my long haul motor so maybe 2-3 years of occasionally dogging it.

untill i get my 427 built.

The inconsistency of e85 concerns me.

If 110 was really 6.50 I would try to change to that, c16 even in a drum is twice that.

Inconsistency? It changes twice a year. I live in Nebraska so we get the summer and winter blends...big deal.
