Could this yield a 9s ET/140mph?

Maybe. What cyl heads? How extensively have they & the intake been ported? Stall convertor? 140mph is a lot..I'd guess it'd take 750hp to do that..?

with the nitrous, yes, doubt 140 though. if you have not purchased yet, I would suggest a 950 over the 1000 carb if you are looking at 4150 style carbs. Although close on rated cfm, the 950 will be easier to tune, already been down that road.

Absolutely. A local racer and forum member TC86GT had an AFR 205 headed 408" that ran mid 10's on motor and deep into the 9s at 140+ on nitrous. That was about 10 years ago. If memory serves correct the motor stayed together for 5-6 years before the block finally split. If you search on here I bet you can find the threads. I am currently building a similar combination.

my 86 gt goes 408 ci with 9.50:1 compression vic jr heads super vic intake and a worked 750 hp 11.0-11.1 at 121 on motor and went a spinning 9.70 at 137.89 on a 175 shot

not sure if it will be on E85 or race gas yet

It will definitely be on the back wheels regardless of the fuel ..lol
i bet it goes 1.teens with the front tires never leaving the ground :wink2:
