Hey All,
I just bought a 2007 Shelby GT500 convertible and am loving it. Except I cannot say I am inpressed with the exhaust tone= too quiet at idle and when accelerating! Can anyone advise what muffler change they have made and what would you recommend (Flowmaster, Borla, Cessini, etc?)? My bud changed to Ford Racing muffler but not too impressed?
Any websites to "hear" the new sounds, any magazine articles on this?

Last, what do you think about change to aftermarket cold air intake and/or K&N air filter??

Thanks for your input, Ron.

Dusting this one off a bit...

The GT500 mufflers are actually fine and flow very well, but the stock manifold and mid-pipe tone things down quite a lot. Although expensive, long tube headers and a high flow catted mid-pipe followed by the factory mufflers really wakes things up without being obnoxious and boosts power in the process!

Stay conservative on a convertible.

For a quick fix, '10 GT500 axleback, or FRPP GTA mufflers.

The Roush Extreme sounds great; but is pretty loud overall.
