1989 Mustang LX 5.0L FULLY BUILT/RESTORED/Custom Dash!
This is a 1989 Mustang LX 5.0L Hatchback. I have had the car since I was in high school. The Car got a Fresh Torch Red Paint Job around 2004. I brought the block to my engine builder here, Pro Line Race Engines in Marietta, GA. They rebuilt the bottom end to stock specs, only re-using the factory rods, block and crank. Everything else in the block is new. I got all new parts for the engine. I basically built it for as much N/A power a 306 could make, with the capability of adding Nitrous. I HAVE NOT INSTALLED NITROUS YET! I put the whole car back together with almost ALL NEW parts. I had in the past a 1997/1999 Mustang project that I still had lots of parts lying around from. So I got the bright idea to use all the 1999 brake/suspension parts on this car for the brake conversion. I used the interior parts from the 1997 GT to do a full interior conversion to the new dash. It took MANY, MANY hours of cutting, fitting, fabricating to get all of this stuff to work together. I used the HVAC box from the 1997 and made the A/C lines fit to each other. I used the Steering Column from the 1999 and the brake/clutch pedal assembly as well. I had to re-wire all of the switches/gauges to work with the new stuff. After many hours of labor, I got it all to work. Everything is functional. I took the factory door panels off and built new panels. I made ALL NEW panels. I also re-covered the headliner in much nicer headliner material. I had a new windshield installed as well. The car has a custom built Rear Seat Delete/ Sub Box which houses the Sub box and has a separate compartment which houses the Amp for the sub. This is also a great place to hide a Nitrous Bottle! After I got the car back together and running, I had Jeff Harris at Pro-speed Performance in Powder Springs, GA tune the car. It made 334 RWHP and 336 RWTQ!!!! That’s all out of a little 306! This car is extremely clean, you will be hard pressed to find another fox body Mustang out there this nice, with this many new parts. This car is basically all new! The only real still factory parts include the hard parts like the body and axle housing…..almost everything I could replace I did. Whoever buys this car will be buying an almost brand new 1989 Mustang! Now that I am at the end of this build I regret I have to get rid of this car in anticipation of a new house, I hate growing up! I have well over $20000 invested since just August!!!! I HAVE EVERY RECIEPT FROM THE BUILD, EVERY ONE OF THEM; I CAN SHOW YOU ALL THE MONEY I HAVE SPENT ON THIS CAR, NOT EVEN INCLUDING MY LABOR!! This is a one of a kind Mustang, its clean, its fast and it’s ready for Nitrous! The engine builder tells me the engine can handle a 200 shot of Nitrous!!
Buy this car and save yourself THOUSANDS of dollars by buying the car already built.

The car now only has a little over 6000 miles on it since it was built. This is a beautiful very original car. You will not find another like it for this value. The A/C System was just replaced at the end of the summer, so it is all Brand New! The Tires were just put on also at the end of the summer so they have less than 1000 miles on them.

The pictures show the old tires on this car, it now has Brand New Nitto NT05 Tires installed.
