Greetings. Here's my dad's 1987 Mustang GT that he bought new when I was 12 years old. I still remember going to the dealership two hours away to pick it up.

It went through some changes over the first ten years of it's life but has been pretty much untouched since then. We are in the process of cleaning it back up and deciding on if it should be our next project car. The technology has changed a lot in the last 20 years and just about everything could be updated mechanically. The body is in really good condition and the interior is excellent. It has a little less than 50k miles on it.

He has a 2003 Harley Davidson edition F-150 as well.

It it were me, I would just put a turbo on it, set it to 9-10 psi, have it tuned for normal pump gas and enjoy it.

Oh and welcome.

Long long time ago it did have a turbo on it. One of the first Cartech turbos. This is back when they had the "bread box" intake manifold. My dad made a couple spacers between the lower and upper intake manifolds in order to fit the original intake back on to get the torque back in the lower rpm. He also wrapped the intake in thermo to keep the heat away from it. Late 80's hot rodding.

Sweet ride! I have an 87 and 88 with low miles. Let me know if you go the turbo route because I have toyed with that idea for the 87. Welcome!
