1978 Ford fairmont 2 door, 8.8 rear,3.73 gears, frame is tied. Gutted interior. Battery in trunk. 95 5.0 ho, all stock with rpm intake 650 Holley and long tubes. C6 transmission?? but something I already have. 3000 stall, reverse manual VB. Do you think I can get in the 12.99 or better?

I wouldn't bet more than a six-pack on it. Being an auto is going to hurt you, but it does have a converter so who knows. You didn't mention what kind of tires you are running, so traction may be the deciding factor.

I am guessing more like 13.40 @ 98...

I think you will have around 275hp at the crank with that intake and carb (give or take). I think you will be close to 3000lbs all in sitting at the tree. If everything is near perfect, you might get it. I think you will trap a little over 100, but the ET will be shy of the target.

I think the C6 is going to eat the chuck of HP you need to hit 12s.

also decided to do a quick rebuild. adding a tfs stage 1 cam and ported e7 heads w/ stock valve sizes. thanks all
