I bought an 11 in clutch kit for my 03 GT before I removed my old one and found there was a 10.5 inch kit in mine. So I am guessing someone installed a different flywheel and clutch at some point in time. It looks like the 10.5 clutch kits go up to an 01 GT, is the trans in the 01 and 03 the same. I was looking at this kit and wanted to make sure it would work? Should I get a 1 1/8 or 1 1/16 spline?

There are only 4 options, 10.5“ and 11” 8 bolt, 10.5” and 11” 6 bolt, all factory transmissions are 1-1/16 10 spline input shafts. You can use either diameter clutch in any year as long as the flywheel matches and has the right number of mounting holes. The 11” will be a bit stronger of equal clutches because of the extra surface area, but you could always order a stronger 10.5”

Keep your 11" clutch and buy a Luk 11" flywheel from Rockauto.

If your 10.5" flywheel is just a stock iron one, I would replace it with the 11" flywheel. If your existing flywheel is a billet one I would keep it, if it's in good shape.
