Just wondering those of you who have a 2000 Cobra R rack, or even the 03/04 Cobra rack.
How did you get around or fix your steering wheel from being 90 degree's out?
I know Darius did it with a stock rag joint, but who has done it with a Flaming River steering shaft?
Only reason I ask is because I fabricated something of my own.
I did a lot of research over at C-C.com and here at Corral.
Most of people say that the rack when used in a fox body the steering wheel is 90 degree's out. So I fab'ed a solid steering shaft of my own.
Using 3/4 mild steel I cut flat's 90 degree's out from each other. They are CNC cut and fit perfect, well almost.
See I cut a 90 degree and the steering wheel is still out 5 or so degree's.
Yes I AM that picky! ;)
So I cut another shaft, this time 80 degree's. Perfect!
I did the alignment myself and double checked to make sure the wheel turned the same amount each way. Double checked the toe also. 1/32nd toe in.
I will try to get some pics of the shaft.

If you go to corner-carvers.com and search for cobra rack or reclocking a rack you'll find a link to a really good page on how to disassemble/reassemble the rack with the input reclocked for your shaft.

I seen that thread over at corner-carvers.
Its by Jeff F. But doesn't that seem a little much to do?
