Question What injectors are you guys running?

I need to find out what size injectors I will need for my single turbo setup on my 5.0. I'll be putting down a little over 500 WHP.

Seems everyone loves 60s these days. How are they on a daily driver?

I'm worried that 60s might be a little too much & cause drivability issues.

Believe me, you will see absolutely zero driveability issues with the 60lb injectors. They operate just as good, if not better than the 42lb units. I know this from personal experience in my own car, and in other's cars as well.

Get the bigger ones, you'll be glad that you did.

I agree! I have had 24, 30, 42, and now 60lb injectors in my car. Never had any problems. As long as you have the car tuned well you should be fine.

I never hear anything bad about 60s, they just seem huge. At least they are still reasonabley priced.

on a stock computer ?

A guy came over and started talking to me about the car. He asked what it ran so I told him 8.80's. He said, "No, I meant in the 1/4 mile."

are you talking high or low impedance?

low impedence injectors with a real injector driver (not a resistor box) and a computer that can take advantage of them will have no issues with driveability no matter how big the injectors are.

even with high imp 60s as long as your tuner is good you should have no worries

42's are great of your not planning on making alot more then 500whp. At 550 + i'd go with some 60's for sure.

Using 60's and a PMAS blowthrough maf on the 89 vert's turbo setup. (584rwhp)
Used the 60's previously with a SCT 2400 when I had a drawthrough s/c setup. (521rwhp) Both combos have worked great.

Rob,
did you have the Pro-m universal cal'ed for the 60's or buy it that way. I have one that's for 42's and want to go up to 60's eventually. I love that meter and really don't want to get rid of it.
Thanks,
Steve

Yes. RC Engineering out in CA makes these 75lb high impedence injectors that you can run on the stock computer.

AS far as I know at this time, it is the biggest high impedence injector available right now. Although that could change before I finish typing this.
