not a 306 or hci but I got my converter when I was stock. It would flash to 3k and I only had about 4% slip on the top end. Now that I have my turbo it still flashes to 3k and footbraking it goes to around 2200. The only problem I have is that it is slipping 12-14% even when its locked when WOT.
Now that I said that, I would really like to be able to footbrake it to 3k and try to build some boost, but I would not like it on the street. Plus, I would not want it any looser that it is now on the top end.
