Stall speed?

Calling all of you with an Edge converter in a 4R70W behind a turbo HCI 306 that's street driven (are there any of that combination?) I had them build a "3000" stall for my old supercharged engine that was pretty torquey down low and I think I am going to lose some stall speed going turbo...So, I'm sending it back to loosen it up and wanting some input on success stories with certain stall speeds. This one I can footbrake to about 2200, will a true footbraking 3000 stall be high for the skreet?
Jesse

not a 306 or hci but I got my converter when I was stock. It would flash to 3k and I only had about 4% slip on the top end. Now that I have my turbo it still flashes to 3k and footbraking it goes to around 2200. The only problem I have is that it is slipping 12-14% even when its locked when WOT.

Now that I said that, I would really like to be able to footbrake it to 3k and try to build some boost, but I would not like it on the street. Plus, I would not want it any looser that it is now on the top end.

Maybe the clutches need to be freshened up in the converter?
