Exclamation Dyno results: 393ci carb/blow through QT single turbo 711 hp / 720 tq

I am posting this for the owner. Here is the set up:

85 GT
393ci ~8.8-1cr.
Twisted Wedge out of the box
Victor Jr. carb intake
650 Holley (modified for Blow through)
Ed Curtis Blower Grind Cam (.570 lift 230/242 )
Quick Time single turbo--- no intercooler

3550 trans / 3.73 gears / Spec clutch

The final numbers were with 30 degrees total timing and 114 octane fuel and boost hit 15psi but settled down about 14psi. the A/F ratio was in the 11.3--11.5 range. Pretty damn impressive considering the mismatched blower grind cam and only 14psi ! He is going to take it out to Ennis on Feb 9th when they open for the first T&T.

I have the dyno sheet and a video of the pull as well, but I can't seem to figure out how to add it to the post. if anyone can help me out, I will e-mail them to you.

Turbo

Thanks every one.....Not to bad for a street car huh?
Quicktimeturbosystems make a great kit. If you are looking for a kit that will bolt right up with no issues he is the man you need to talk to.

yeah, it should be interesting. He had been running a S-trim and made 601hp / 588tq with the exact same set up with 16-17psi boost.

Apparently the blow through set ups cool the charge pretty good going through the carb as he has always been able to run much more timing that I could get away with on my EFI set up.....of course the 114 octane fuel does not hurt either.

I can't wait to see it run. Also at only 14lbs of boost he isn't even in the sweet spot of the turbo yet

on the other hand the car is making over 800fwhp. That is pushing the stock block and cast internals pretty far.

All I know if the car will get out of the hole and shift good hello 9's

Have you measured the back pressure upstream of the turbo? I was under the impression a single T4 flange was too small for 393 cubic inches.
