New turbo combo..what will it make..dyno/tune coming soon

Well I recently traded my s/c setup for a turbo setup for my 89 LX convertible. Consist of a B+G turbo setup with a Precision T-70 P trim w/.68 exhaust housing,750hp rated Precision i/c,38mm Tial wastegate routed back to the downpipe,50 mm Tial bov, etc. Car made 509 rwhp sae at 10-10.5 psi of boost from a SC trim Vortech previously and went 124.9 mph in the 1/4 @ 3400+ lbs with a 5spd and 3.73 gears.
Stock bottom end,GT-40 Y303's ported,Holley intake,70mm tb,PMAS 3" blowthough maf,(now,was a SCT2400 with the blower),60 lb injectors,255 hi pressure intake,walbro gsl392 inline,Vortech fuel rails,Lunati 51014 cam( http://www.holley.com/data/Products/...l/51014LUN.pdf)
Exhaust will be through a 3.5" downpipe to a Y pipe at the trans cross member to 2.5" Pypes Violator catback(straight through mufflers).
What do you think it'll make for hp and torque with 12psi max?
I'll post the results when I get it tuned. (SCT software/chip)

um.. no... at least not in my opinion...

If you keep it at 12 psi.. and push the timing 550 ish

And I dont see how you made 509 from 10 lbs and gt40 heads from an sc trim... but w/e you see weird stuff all the time. Are you using meth? what timing were you running?

I don't know the total timing, was all done in the SCT chip. I don't run meth and it was on normal 92-93 pump gas. A/F was 11.5:1 across the board till the very end when I started running out of fuel pump.
The gt40 y's are heavily ported especially on the exhaust side, intake is ported through the tb throat and matched to the heads.
Was a SC trim but with powerpipe, 8 rib 7" crank,3.15 blower pulleys, etc. Even the guy tuning it was surprised.

I'm personally hoping it'll make around 575rwhp/575tq with the turbo setup.
I added the inline pump and better rails since last year when I had it tuned with the blower.

Look how long it took that sc to make that power, you should have a very different looking dyno sheet with the turbo. Here's mine and this was with GT40 heads and a Cobra intake off of my 93 Cobra, and it's only a T60.

You're definitely right. Main thing I'm looking forward to is having a lot more torque to move this relatively heavy convertible.
Make it feel so much better on the street.

You might have to change that gear ratio. The torque is very unkind on components ie.. rearend, tranny, and 4th clutch.

Got it covered Bought a 3.27 gear the other week for it. Going to swap it in and do my rear disc conversion at the same time. I have a Tremec I need to freshen up and swap in also. The T-5 has been on borrowed time for a while, lol. Has a SPEC stage 3 clutch and a beefed up rear already. (31 spline axles,03-04 cobra trac-lok with carbon clutches) Sure I'll manage to tear something up along the line though.

Reving it to almost 6300 helped out alot to. I keep mine no higher then 5500, get that turbo on there make it down low and you wont need to spin it so high, help the engine last. Good luck with it

FWIW it made 571 rwhp sae corrected,584 rwhp std corrected. That was with an a/f around 11.3-11.5:1 across the board.

Nice, can you post the print out? I like to see the torque curves.

I'm going to be running a simaler set up. I have a b&g kit with a mpt70 turbo with the .68 exhaust housing. I'm going to be using my trickflow tw heads that have been ported, and flow close to 300 cfm. anderson b31 cam, trick flow street heat intake. I hope i can make over 550rwhp.
