Need Help vband clamps leaking

I bought a used turbo kit and were the headers come together with a vbang clamp leaks also were the turbo and downpipe come together leaks has anybody had this problem and how did you fix it?

Try using some high temp silicone on the flange , Just use a skim layer on it ..

Word.....also v-band clamps will sometimes leak until they get some heat into them before they seal up.

my v-bands leak on my crossover too. I tighten them, drive and it does fine. I guess after it cools off they come lose, because when I start it next time it is bad again. This has happened the last 2 times it was driven.

Like lethal-lx says, just get some high temp Permatex (red) and smear a little on the flanges where they fit together. Let it get tacky then assemble and tighten. When it gets hot, retighten.
