Will 16* Total Timing Make the Car Feel Like a Dog?

The car is up and running. Still working out a few things. I am just wondering if 16* total timing will make the car feel like a dog...I had a baseline chip burned until I can get to a dyno, and it was of course made to be very safe.

Its a freshened 302, Y303 heads, 42# injectors, Cartech SS w/T-64 @ 8psi are the basics.

Just want to make sure that is normal at that timing level. Thanks.

yes it can, but don't touch a thing till you get to a dyno. No need in taking a chance on hurting parts. Just one degree of timing can add quite a bit of power

I second the above comment. What fun you will lose now by not planting foot will save dollars when the shortblock and possibly heads will need to be replaced

Thanks guys. I have no intention or even capability of changing anything as it is a Superchip burned by the guy that will also be doing my dyno tuning. I just wanted to be sure that the lack of power is normal and not another problem. Definitely would rather it be doggy and safe now instead of getting greedy and blowing something up!

I am trying to make sure any bugs are worked out before taking it on the dyno! Thanks again.
