need a shortblock that will handle boost

hey guys i have a turbo'd notch. here are the details on it

Turbo System:
Precision 66mm t-04 housing, .86 a/r exhaust, Tial 50mm blowoff valve, Tial 44mm wastegate, turbonetics manual boost controller, ebay special bar-type intercooler
Engine and Management System:
Stock ecm (A9L) untuned! stock 88' shortblock w/ main girdle, stock 88' camshaft, AFR 185's, Lunati 1.6 rocker arms

Induction and Fuel:
Victor 5.0 intake, 65mm Ford Motorsport T-body, stock tank w/ a1000 pump , Aeromotive rails and Motorsport 42lb. injectors, aeromotive regulator.

Ignition and Exhaust:
MSD digital 6, MSD Blaster coil

Tranny and rear:
8.8 w/3:73 gears, SVO cover, Strange 33-spline axles, Strange spool, Motorsport alum. driveshaft, Tremec 3550, Lakewood SFI bellhousing, SPEC stage 3 clutch.

as you can see it has a stock block in it along with a stock cam and untuned ecu

right now at 9 psi the car runs 10.61 at 134mph 532 rwhp this is the conservitive tune

the car can be dial'd up to 14 psi but i dont want to because the stock blocks arnt meant to handle that amont of power...heck im already pushin it at 9 psi

question is where should i go to get a good short block and what is the best combo to go with i.e...306,331,347

is there a shop that primarily deals with turbo cars

also the block is going to need to support 900 rwhp bigger turbo will be coming this winter

In plan on going w/ a dart blocked 331 combo(due to the better rod ratio compared to the 347). There are several good shops that build strong engines. From what I have heard AD Performance can give you a good bang for your buck. I currently am running a stock blocked DSS 306, which has been good to me, so I might see what kind of deal those guys can give me on a dart blocked setup.

You're kidding right?? I think that you're just trolling through here.....Someone that can build their own turbo kit would know that AFR heads will work on a 331 as would a 302, 306, or 347 being that those are all based on the 8.2 deck block......I think that the 134 trap speed is just a tad high for mid 10's.....Especially with 3.73's......And how does that 10 spline input shaft not twist under 532rwhp??

i dont know man the car has been running like this for awhile now i guess

heres the add for the car

Best time as of 2-7-07: 10.61 at 134, 17" DR
702rwhp / 739 rwtq at 14psi, 93 octane

Current Combo:

Turbo System:
Precision 66mm t-04 housing, .86 a/r exhaust, turbo system built by me, Tial 50mm blowoff valve, Tial 44mm wastegate, turbonetics manual boost controller, ebay special bar-type intercooler
Engine and Management System:
Stock ecm (A9L) untuned! stock 88' shortblock w/ main girdle, stock 88' camshaft, AFR 185's, Lunati 1.6 rocker arms

Induction and Fuel:
Victor 5.0 intake, 65mm Ford Motorsport T-body, stock tank w/ 255lph in-tank and 255lph pusher pump (Vortech), Aeromotive rails and Motorsport 42lb. injectors, aeromotive regulator.

Ignition and Exhaust:
MSD digital 6, MSD Blaster coil

Tranny and rear:
8.8 w/3:73 gears, SVO cover, Strange 33-spline axles, Strange spool, Motorsport alum. driveshaft, Tremec 3550, Lakewood SFI bellhousing, SPEC stage 3 clutch.

Front Suspension:
UPR K-member with A-arms and coil overs, Lakewood 90/10 struts, Motorsport caster camber plates

Rear Suspension:
Factory 5 upper/lower control arms, welded torque boxes, stock 88' shocks

Tires and rims:
Bogart Drag-on-Fly Stars, Mickey Thompson 275/60/R15 Body:
Stock 88' body w/ 2 1/2" cowl hood

Future plans:
Put a bar in the car so I dont get kicked anymore, up the boost to 18psi, run race gas and hopefully go 140mph!

Background:
Car went 10.61at 134mph on 11psi (1.87 60ft) with a mixture of 91 octane and avfuel on the Mickey Thompson tires.....the car has some more in it because I have not hooked up the retard function through the digital box.....I wanna leave on boost and run it into the nines on a stock shortblock and drive it back home!

Someone is yanking your chain........NO WAY that a stock block will hold 702rwhp, not even for one dyno pull...Even if the block was filled...And second, a 66mm turbo w/ .86 housing WILL NOT make that kind of power.....My Precision T70 won't even make 700rwhp.....Since you used to be a chevy guy, I see now why for the head question in the earlier post.......

FYI, I believe the 7 was a typo. It's suppose to be a 5.
