T-70 TURBO KIT PICS

Here's a few pics of some progess with the turbo kit.

Here's some info:

B&G headers and crossover
Air/Air intercooler 3" same side inlet/outlet

Turbo:
MP T-70 .68 A/R

Just a question, do you think with the turbo and downpipe being so close to the intake tube before the throttle body, it will get quite hot? The coatings will help, but you might want some extra heat shielding in that area.

It's kinda hard to tell in the pics, but there's about 1" of clearance between the DP and the intake tube. I'm going to wrap the DP to keep the heat down.

Are u gonna direct the wastegate exhaust into the downpipe, or into the atomsphere?

Atmosphere. I'm trying to find a small muffler to put on the dump tube to quiet it down a little.

Looks good. What MAF are you using? I assume its located in the fender well.

Single 62-1 Turbo, 347ci

Yeah, it's been done before. I saw one guy using a lawnmower muffler on his dumptube, and it made quite a difference in the sound. It also wasn't so restrictive that it would cause boost creep either. A bike muffler would probably work too if youe had enough room for one.

Thanks, I'm going to be using a C&L 76mm for now, but I plan on getting a PMAS 3" MAF when the funds are available. Some guys have good luck with the C&L's using them as a blowthru but some don't......for the $ it's worth giving it a try and yes, it's located in the fenderwell.
