turbo 351w build questions

hey guys I am wanting to build a boosted 351. I am totally new to forced induction. anyone got some build tips?I would like to keep it efi
I am looking to run low psi for street use and be able to turn up the boost on race day.
my immediate goal is right around 400 to the wheels, later after some tuning and upgrades about 600.

I am really surprised about many of the power goals posted in here lately. You could make those numbers with less hassle via using a supercharger. Heck you could make those numbers NA with a 351 but the higher end of the range would mean a bit of an investment. I have seen many a stroked NA 351 make around 550fwhp on engine dynos and those were not terribly radical combinations either.

My 428 (4.125 bore x 4 stroke 9.1:1 comp) made 490 rwhp and 502 rwtq. If you just want those goals just put a stroker in. And if you want silly, stupid power then throw a turbo or SC on it.

afr web site, sbf magazine articles. 408 sbf,afr 205,comp cam,t66,7psi = 725hp.

A guy came over and started talking to me about the car. He asked what it ran so I told him 8.80's. He said, "No, I meant in the 1/4 mile."

Like all the others on here said before..those numbers are low (unless stock 351w with turbo) but if you have a built 351w with heads, intake and turbo the power can get pretty sick. I have a 351 (355 technically) with ported aluminum heads, ported lightning intake and a simple b&g turbo kit (MP T70) I bought used for $2200. At 10psi I made 620rwtq at 4000 rpms on Mustang dyno. Get a turbo...you wont regret it.
