Turbo Advice needed.

Car: 99 GT.
Presently: Vortech V2 SQ supercharged. Patriot Stage 3 heads with 288 cams. Cobra crank, manley H beams, and Diamond 19cc pistons. Reichard Racing Aluminum Intake manifold, 90MM throttle body, SCT MAS, 42lbs injectors, cobra fuel pump and boost-a-pump, yadda yadda yadda....

I want to switch to a single turbo setup. Basically my questions are, whats a good turbo to use for the 500-600 hp range? Whats a good wastegate to go with?

and I found a set of turbo headers, Y pipe and down pipe. But I found it odd that, what appears to be the wastegate flange, is located all the way on the bottom of the Y pipe just after where the passenger manifold bolts to the Y pipe. The pipeing continues and then meets with the driver side and goes 2 into 1 and you then would fabricate whatever flange you need to use. Is this ok? I would think the wastegate could not regulate efficiently having only one exhaust bank that it MAINLY releases pressure from??? I am sure it effects the driver side to an extent, but I would figure not much seeing as the exhaust runs in one direction basically. Well anyways whatever input anyone has to offer is appreciate.

The base turbo that the Hellion kit uses will be fine for you. Now the kit that you found, did you buy it or just curious about its design? I have seen a few kits that mount the wastegate so it really is only venting for one side of the motor. This leads to boost creep in some of the setups and they fix it by just putting a bigger wastegate on there. Personally that is not how I would have put them on there but you can find plenty of examples of it working for people.
