what did your car run n/a before boost?

figured i would just run the question by everyone im gettin very anxious with my turbo install ....

anyone have any times before they added boost .....

my car on my 17inch cobra wheels and street tires was going 12.80's at 110-111 ....... and that was with my 3.27 gears and rpm2 intake and all .....

im throwing 10lbs of boost down it with a trans brake and a couple other goodies , should be interesting to say the least ....

anyone have examples ?

1990 Notchback stock bottom end , TW's , F cam , Systemax and 66mm in the works.

I have never made a good pass with the car, But went from a 13.1 @ 109 to a 11.65 @ 125 with the clutch slipping most of the pass.

I added a stock pullied S trim/ power pipe/ #42s and a tune (and removed about 100 lbs )

I was going 9.40's @ 76 in the 1/8th.
Now, 8 psi of turbo boost later and no other changes, I'm going 8.30's @ 95 in the 1/8th, both runs on 17" street tires, not drag radials. I'm pretty happy with a 20 mph gain in the 1/8th, but I really want "just" 5 mph more!!

I went straight for boost. I figured with small cam, LC and a carb set up for boost, I'd be disappointed anyway...

With my old extremly ported, large valved, '65 289 heads i did a best of [email protected] N/A. By just replacing the old '65 heads with bone stock '97 P heads with a mild port match it then went [email protected] with 9psi. I was taking the motor to the stock rev the whole pass. So far that was my first and only time down the strip with boost. I have since dyno'd it and found my max power was an early 5300.

I went 12.7 @ 106 mph before the turbo setup. Back then, I had Dart Sr. iron heads and a small Crower 511 cam with the Holley intake. Swapped in a stock cam and the TFS heads when I went turbo.

Hey man, your car is looking good. I still plan on a single, but twins like yours would be nice. Could you PM me here or HC50 with the cost breakdown for twins?

Havent run the car but the new setup is making some good ower and the calculations are saying that on the street tune it should trap in the 145 range.Thats with 590 to the tire and not fully done tuning on it.Race tunes gonna be 20psi and race gas.In my street car.Should be fun.
