I've been thinking about switching to an E from my stock one.
I'm with fastwhite86gt- stay with your E.

If your going with an alphabet cam I've heard the F cam to be a good turbo cam. But if your looking for the best overall performance run your E till you can afford a custom grind.

Just leave the E in there. Definatley don't go for the X; it would just be a very poor fit for stock heads/intake (you said stock engine).

You could even go back to the stock cam if you wanted. The turbo will allow you split the block even with the stock cam, while maintaining excellent street manners.

I had and e-cam with 1.7 on my turbo car and it made good power all the way up to 6000rpm on dyno. I have been told more then once and seen it a couple of times that if you are going to run a letter cam with a turbo run a F cam.

Since it's on a stock block, i'd just leave it in...people have broken stock blocks w/stock cams & 1.7rr with a turbo. No need in spending any more money than you have to. Getting a custom cam would be a good idea only if you have an aftermarket block.
