Would this exhaust be ok?

I want to keep the car looking sleeper, and was wondering if it is ok to run magnaflow mufflers. I still want to run my stock tips there 2.5. Will this hurt performance a lot? If so what are you guys running? Thanks

As long as they are the straigh-thru design. You shouldn't have any problems with performance loss.

Magnaflow kicks ass. A dual 2.5 inch set up is good deep into the 10s easy.

I am currently welding up a 3.5 inch dp split into dual 3 inch magnaflows with dual 3 inch tailpipes under the axle cause of the antiroll bar.

I was running dual 3 inch bullets dumped before the axle. It was as loud as open DP dumped under passenger seat.

Good luck.

Anyone can sit in the stands and talk s**t. Get out there and RACE!!!
PT76GTS blowthrough...sold. Cool but not what I wanted.
was running a 14 to 1 Man O War 427 with High Ports.Sold.

I'm running the supposed worst combo-cats (catco H-pipe) and 3 chambered flows. The car makes decent power 400 rwhp 490 rwtq with small turbos. I wonder if I am giving anything up with the exhaust as it is.

Any buddy running no real exhaust?

I have been kicking around the idea of just running from the turbo exhaust side to under the front fender. Anyone running this way?

How about a cutout switch on the down pipe and dump that out the wheel well. You will be able to hear the turbos really nicely.

I ran mine with no exhaust for a bit...(couple trips around the block) and the turbo sang like crazy....I put 2.5 MAC produmps on it and its not that loud and still makes a ton of power like it did with no exhaust

FWIW- i had the stock cat-back on the car and made 430RWHP...and it was dead quiet

It would be interesting to see what your dyno numbers are with the dumps or no exhaust.

My downpipe dumps at the firewall, and the exhaust isn't loud at all until you get on it. It does whistle pretty good cruising around though. Only thing I don't like about the sound is it's kinda tractorish at idle. It's a very flat sound, especially coming from MAC pro-dumps for years pre-turbo which were fat and deep at idle. At every instance other than WOT, the open downpipe is WAY quieter than the pro-dumps were. It's nice to be able to carry on a conversation without yelling at my passengers over the drone.

Thanks for the input

I guess my next issue will be for the Wide Band sensor. The LM-1 says 3 feet after turbo and I think it needs to be before mufflers too.

Heres what Im running on a 302 single t4. 3" dp to two 2.5 chambered pipe mufflers. They sound nice and rumbly like an NA motor and scream under full throttle.
