Turbo + 10:1 compression?

I'm looking at getting a t-76 setup soon and am worried about my compression. Without swapping pistons, I'm hoping to lower it slightly with thicker head gaskets.

I'd like to know about what I could expect with the t-76 and my setup? I won't be running any race gas in it but want to make at least 500rwhp.

anyone with the new mach 1's have 10:5:1 pistons. the procharger kits out there for them, a buddy of mine has one. runs i think 8 maybe 10 lbs of boost and hit 450hp.

so your 10:1 can be done. just make sure you have a GOOD fuel systems, and a good TUNE.

Youll be okay, i know the OHC motors are fine with boost and high compression.

Shouldn't be a problem, but the T76's on a 281 aren't in there sweet spot until you're close to 20psi or more. But regardless of your plans I'd consider some methanol injection. 500rwhp for a T76 is a bit overkill!!??, that thing will make 650-700 with your motor before breaking a sweat! Sounds cool though

Small bore motors get way with more compresion..The better breathing heads help..Your relying heaps on tune...Make sure detonation senser is working..
We have had 5.4 3 and 4 valve motors down under for some time, making good power numbers..

If you're going to have the heads off, you may want to consider some bowl work as well.

Yeah, some racers(in boosted OHC Mustangs) are actually finding that they run better with higher comp than lower comp.

In wouldn't fit thicker gasgets, it plays havoc with quench and can actually cause detonation..Think 400M motor...Low comp, low piston [in bore] to deck and detonate like crassy N/A !!!
