What kind of BOV is this??? And what are the holes for?*pics*

I bought this turbo kit off of corral and the guy didnt send me any directions. This is my first time dealing with turbos and setting one up. All i need to know is what are the two holes at the top (or facing the ground as this setup is) of the BOV is? And there is a threaded line on the side also that i have connected to a hole that was ported into my turbo. I dont even know if that goes there. So any help or comments will help me greatly......

Here is the threads on the side that i have the braided line from the turbo going to..

I'm new to this but that looks like a wastegate to me. But as i understand that line is run correctly just leave the top open.

Your bov will go between the turbo and your TB on your intake piping.

Its a wastegate, the hole off to the side if for a filter(bronze I think). The threads are for adjusting when the wastegate opens = boost setting. The braided line that goes from turbo to wastegate is what sends boost pressure to the wastegate.

I would think so, they say you will spin your turbo backwards. You close your tb blade and all that air has to go somewhere.

A BOV or Bypass depending on if you have a MAF and where its placement is in the sytem.

Are you going to be running a blow-thru or a draw thru MAF setup?

If you're doing a draw-thru you'd probably want a Bypass.

This company has some nice Bypass and BOV valves...quite expensive though. A cheap alternative is of course a standard Bosch valve.

If you're running a blow-thru a good high flow BOV is a Tial.

Also check the classifieds section here for people selling their old stuff such as Vortech Bypass valves from supercharger kits.

I don't think there is a "better"...pick which one comes with the most attachments or something...
