What would be the Best ignition choice?

I was wondering what would be the best ignition choice?I`m getting a turbo kit soon and was wanting to have a good ignition system.Also let me know What coil too.And do you recomend changing dist. too?Thanks for any help.

i am running an msd 6AL and an MSD 6btm along with an MSD blaster.........works really good on my ride.......I have friend's that are running the digital 6, but they have had to have them replaced several times before the got one that worked....

Are you running a stock computer? If so 6BTM or Crane HI-6 with a timing retard that is referenced by boost is what you need. If you are running a FAST or DFI setup the timing retard is not needed as the computer will do it for you.

I have always ran the MSD boxes and never had a single issue with any of them. But with that said I have seen a lot of people get bum MSD boxes or have them fail then seen very little complaints on the crane boxes so those might be the better choice to go with.

I have the Crane HI-6 CD Ignition and the Crane PS92 coil.

So far so good.

1990 Mustang GT, Explorer shortblock with DSS MSS, Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, stock GT cam with 1.72RR, ported Explorer intake and 65mm TB, PTK T66 kit @ 18psi, AEM EMS + WBO2, Alkycontrol methanol injection: All Sold

We tried the MSD 6 in the car, but found the MSD Digital 7 to work much better on the setup. It's used in conjunction with Accel Gen 7 E/M.
