Turbo Mustang Idea for carb'd car...

I'm new to the whole concept of turboing a carbd car but I am under the impression that if you make a sealed box around the carb it allows you to run a turbo...

am I completely wrong? is it far more complicated than that?

Could I build a large aluminum box with a mount that allows the entire carb into the box, then ontop have a valved door to allow you movement inside the box? as long as its air tight and any line in or out is gasketed it should remain at a constant pressure right?

now if this is a sound way of doing it, would I just run a larger carb, say its a 306 i run an 1150 carb or something...?

I know this could potentially make me sound like an idiot but I am usually a all motor guy, just because i could never afford a turbo car... any help on my thoughts would be greatly appreciated, im just trying to get a better understanding of a carb/turbo set up...

thanks again,
Kyle

You need to visit the carb section over on www.turbomustangs.com/forums . Theres a lot of good info on setting up a blow thru carb setup.
