Could someone help me identify this turbo?

Been searching all day and cant find any hard facts as to what the specs on the compressor are.....here is what i know so far copied from my turbomustangs.com thread....

Its a garret T3. I was told it came off a 80's nissan 300zx. I can see the .63 on the turbine housing but i cant find anything for the compressor. All i see are random numbers. There is a 2 on the inside of the compressor outlet.

On the front it says Nissan Motors with a 17 in front of it. I can read the serial numbers.....

14420-P9001
410581-7ML0573

I found this....

NISSAN 300ZX 84 3.0L GAR TB0306 14420-P9001

Trying to find specs on a Garret TB0306.

Im thinking its a .60/.63 but i want to make sure.

the turbo inlet is about 2 1/4" wide. So thats 57.15 mm. I found on another side where the trim is 57 and the a/r is .60. Is this right?

Any ideas guys? I appreciate any help!

what exactly are you wanting to know? General rule of thumb, 1 t3 turbo is going to be to small for a single turbo kit......the size of that nissan turbo would be better on a twinturbo kit...i think that is what you are trying to ask.

No i already know that. Im building a twin kit. A guy on turbomustangs confirmed what i thought it was. 2 of the smaller t3's would still be too small for a 351. I just wanted to make sure this was the bigger one.

Thanks though

Hey, I was the guy that gave you that link on TM.com. Have you tried to call Nissan? Thats probably a Nissan part number...they would have a cross reference more than likely. Hope you find what your looking for. There is also some equation for converting the measurements into A/R numbers....I dont know it though. Good luck finding what your looking for.

Laterz, Steve

So, was it a .60/.63? Just curious for future reference. Thanks, Steve
