Turbo my 86 vert?

I just read the new Mustangs and Fast Fords article about putting a turbo on a totally stock 5.0 and putting out 390 hp at the rear wheels. This sounds like the best bang for my buck, rather than building a motor... What do you think? It went to 490 with heads and intake...

Well if I built a longblock with all the goodies I would be into it about $6000 and would not have 465 rehp by any means. All I need is to change out my heads and intake, go to Mass Air and put on a turbo. It would be about the $6000 but would produce the power... I think that will be my goal for the engine mod stage of my project. Finished first phase today and boy was I impressed. Added equal length shorties, off road h-pipe and 3.73 disc rear. Wow, best $535.00 I have ever spent in my life!

4800 bucks for a turbo kit using a small 62mm turbo and a log header setup is a lot of money if you ask me. If you have any fab skills at all it's not that hard to build a kit.
