Going Turbo...have tranny questions...

I've decided to go Turbo sometime in the near future. I'd like to keep the boost fairly tame at first, and shoot for around 450-500 rwhp. I have a question regarding what tranny to go with. I should be selling my T5z this week, since I'm doubting it will withstand the boost at all. I just looked at a Bradco C-4, but have been told I'd be better off going with the Powerglide right off the bat.

My questions are as follows...

Won't the powerglide be boring as all get out on the street considering it's a two speed?

How much will the powerglide slow me down if I go ahead and swap it for my T5z that I'm removing to sell?

(Don't want car sitting around without a tranny for too long)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The glide would be boring with a NA setup. With the turbo if the converter and everything is setup good, I would not consider it all that boring. Guess it depends on your end power goals, if you do not think you can afford a built motor at some point then I would just go with a built C4

Turbo in the future? Stick with a 5spd at that power level. Be nice to the t-5 and it will be nice to you.
