is an H-pipe important with a turbo

I am installing a Pro Turbo kit in my '93GT. I have a Griggs racing torque arm and the cross brace for the torque arm interferes with the BBK H-pipe crossover tube. I am planning to cut the H-pipe crossover tube and just run straight pipes. My MAC H-pipe fit without cutting, but it will not mate up to the PTK Y-pipe.

Is the H-pipe crossover needed with a single turbo and a Y-pipe? I plan to cut the H-pipe today or tomorrow so let me know what you think.

no! with a single turbo kit all you need is the the down pipe and a y-pipe to hook up to your muffler's. now if your car is twin turbo then you could use a h or x-pipe.

Even if it were a twin, it can just be two straight pipes, it will be fine.
