393 what turbo do i run?

im currently building a 393 stroker motor. it has 5140 forged steel crank, 4340 h beam rods, custom forged pistons and a set up worked 4v cleveland heads with yates inserts. Will be o ringed heads studded and run a main girdle support system. also plan around 8.25-8.5 to 1 compression. i want to run a single turbo setup but which turbo do i run? ive tried to take every step i can to make the bottom end bullet proof and id like to run anywhere from 15 to 30 lbs of boost depending on the tuning and how greedy i get. this is going to be a blow thru carb setup does anyone have suggestions on a turbo i can pick up used or new under $1000 thanks.

I am strongly considering running a 393 as well. I have two TO4b v1-v2 that I am going to use. Go http://www.turbomustangs.com/turbote...essor_maps.htm
and look at the compressor maps. The x axis is the air, 15 -30 lbs of boost, I am guessing 800 - 1200 hp, giving 80-120 lbs/minute. around 1 lbs/min per 10 horsepower.
If you use twin setup you need half 40-60 lbs. The y axis is boost, 15 would be 2.0,
30 would be 3.0.
So for example I am shooting for 800hp at 15 lbs of boost, the tb v1/v2 at 40 lbs and 15 lbs of boost is right at 70% eff, so it should work well for me with twins. Also the chart only goes up to around 50 lbs/min. So at 1000 hp they would be maxed out.

I'm running a PT76 Q trim on my 393. I used to run a PT70, but had pressure ratio problems with it. Running that high of boost I'd say a PT88 is not out of the question.

393's generate a lot of exhaust gases and pressure ratio is a huge factor. You'll need at least a full 3 1/2" exhaust, and two wastegates dumped to atmosphere to help get around this.

I had turbos with a 302, I am not how I will do it with the 391. I was using iron manifolds off of LTD, just like this http://www.turbomustangs.com/feature...jasonjones.php. I got most of my ideas here, if you have not seen it yet,

you didn't say what type of block you will be using. I'm running a 76GTSH on my 383w.

Depending on your power goal...the master power gt45 will make a little over 1000hp at the crank and costs $750 new. Just an idea. I'm using on with my new single setup and I've heard nothing but good things about it.
